EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT SKILLS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
A 3-MODULE PROGRAM COVERING KEY MANAGEMENT SKILLS
THE NEED FOR MANAGEMENT SKILLS TRAINING
This three-modular program is designed to give participant managers the key skills needed to manage effectively.
Who is a manager? Generally, managers can manage at the top or strategic level. They are commonly referred to as top managers. Managers managing at the middle or operational level are known as middle managers. Those who manage non-managerial staff are also known as supervisors.
Newly appointed managers at different levels and even experienced managers face challenges in managing multi-directionally. They have to manage themselves so they are personally effective. They obviously need to manage their staff and project team members who report to them. They need to manage peers, other individuals and groups who do not report to them but whom they as managers have to work closely with. Managers also need to manage their working relationship with their bosses and seniors. Thus, a manager needs a broad range of skills to help them in their day-to-day function.
WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM EMSDP
This program targets first time supervisors/managers, high potential employees who will move on to managerial roles soon. It is also for existing supervisors/managers who have not gone through formal structured management skills training.
Newly appointed and frontline managers will find this program a strong foundation while the more experienced managers will it an effective refresher supplying new ideas, skills and fresh insights on work-place application.
TRAINING METHODOLGY
An interactive and experiential approach will be used with participants working in groups to practice skills, work out exercises on application to work situations as well as pre-course and post-course work application assignments to reinforce the skills learned
