Mr. Ashim MOCHTAR

Mr. Ashim Mochtar is a director and a faculty member of GloPerformance
Consulting Group. Specializing in strategic management, Ashim
is a valued advisor to business owners and senior executives.
He mentors them in their quest for value migration, and sustainable
and balanced growth for their enterprises. He also designs
and facilitates customized executive learning programs to
fit the needs of corporate clients.
Ashim not only has more than 30 years of management experience
in the private sector industries, civil service, and the Singapore
Armed Forces, he also has vast regional exposure. His management
career in the IT industry spanned the United States, United
Kingdom, Japan and the Southern Pacific Rim. He has diversified
and international experience working with IT manufacturers,
vendors and distributors. Ashim played a key role in the team
that pioneered the transformation of a computer chain store
into the first computer superstore in Southeast Asia; and
was strategically involved in IT startup companies that have
succeeded in being listed on SESDAQ.
Ashim started his management career as an Executive Officer
in the General Executive Service (GES) branch of the Singapore
Civil Service, and was a member of the team that computerized
revenue assessment, listing and collection of property tax,
IRS (internal revenue service). He was later selected as the
first batch of recruits for Officer Training School. As a
career infantry officer, he held various SAF appointments
-- staff officer and unit commander in the SAF active battalions
and training institutions. At SAFTI Military Academy, he received
ministerial commendation from MINDEF (the Ministry of Defense)
for his staff paper on strategic mobility.
On completion of his 7-year SAF tour of duty, Ashim joined
US multinational, General Electric, embarking on a successful
career in the private sector. He assumed senior management
positions in both MNCs and SMEs (small and medium enterprises),
particularly in the IT industry.
